Fawn Mckay

Fawn MCK Brodie was born 15th September 1915 at Ogden Utah. Born into the Mormon Church's first family Fawn McKay directed her ingenious writing talents as well as her remarkable research skills to creating an outstanding psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945. The book was titled"No Man knows My History. The title came from a funeral speech delivered by the founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844. He shocked his listeners by declaring"You don't know me" I never told you about my heart. No one knows about my past. The truth is, I don't know. Fawn 29, who was 29 was a writer. Fawn took on the mantle of writing since that day. There are some who have tried to make a clinical diagnosis. The documents aren't insufficient and contradictory. It is a difficult task to put together these documents and separate first-hand stories from third-hand copies and fitting Mormon narratives with non-Mormon ones into a coherent collection. This is exciting as well as instructive. Such was the task to which Fawn Brodie devoted herself professionally. Her writings and research made her famous all over all over the globe: Thaddeus Stephens. "The Devil's Drive" (1959) The Southern Scourge. Thomas Jefferson. Richard Nixon, An Intimate historiography (1974) The posthumous.
