Kelly Clarkson has been a musician and singer in the United States for more than twenty years. She won American Idol during the first season. This win catapulted Clarkson into the spotlight and secured her a contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings, along with 'S Recordings. Since then, she has made numerous studio albums. Three albums have topped the US Billboard 200 charts while the other two were only an inch away. She's one of the biggest stars to come out from American Idol. She was a bit flimsy as she found recognition for her different musical themes and style, and often wrote songs of her own. In recognition of her talent and individuality, she has been rewarded with a variety of accolades and awards. She's been honored with the Grammy Award 3 times. She also has been featured in movies and on television. She is also the author of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and involved with many charities.
