Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She was the founder of The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington works as an author, philanthropist, television host, and also the proprietor of The Huffington Post. She moved to Greece to England aged 16 where she received an MA in Economics from Cambridge University in Economics. The famous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first presidency and she did it at the age of 21. Following the graduation ceremony, she was an influential Conservative syndicated journalist. In the years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current politics. The fame of her name helped in getting several high-profile contributors to post their views on news, politics, and other topics. Arianna rose to fame in 2003 after she decided to contest independently in the California recall vote to succeed the Governor Davis. Arianna was also part of a Detroit-based project that promoted efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes named her the most powerful female in the media industry in the year 2009. She ranked 12th on the listing. The Guardian added her to the list of 100 most influential media in 2009. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she became the president of this group. This included many AOL products at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli was the daughter of Konstantinos who was a Journalism and management expert. Although she was a close friend with her father, it was her relationship with her mother which shaped her entire life. At a young age she showed the leadership abilities for which she's still known. At the age of 16 the girl moved into her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. At Girton College Cambridge. In college, she was a member of the Cambridge Union, a college debate group. Being the third woman president and first foreigner, she served as the head of Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with an MA in Economics. She was a journalist, a TV host as well as a columnist following her graduation. Also, she appeared on the show Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books with editorial assistance from him.
